Corsair was the first to bank on the second eruption this
year of Reunion Island's active volcano, the Piton de la Fournaise, when
earlier in the week they launched a special “lava hot fare” of less than 700 euro
between Paris and St. Denis' Roland Garros International Airport.
Marketing the eruption has now also been taken to South
Africa where home airline, Air Austral, flies to Johannesburg, telling
adventure travelers that it takes just four hours to reach the island and be
able to safely watch the lava flows.
The staff of Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) certainly this
time left no stone unturned to make the spectacular sights known in the
island's main markets for tourists and underscore the adventure nature of a
vacation on Reunion Island.
Visitors from France in fact get an even better deal as they
can combine the Corsair offer with a TGV train ride from 18 cities across the
country into Paris at just 60 euros return, offering the best possible deals to
see a live volcano while on a tropical vacation.
