Pixeldreams, the well-known .travel online travel guides development company ( see http://www.eturbonews.com/41120/travel-domain-provides-brand-unification-online-tourist-guides ) signed at this year's ITB Berlin tourism fair, an agreement for the development and exploitation of some of the world's top tourist destinations under its generic .travel domains.
The agreement covers more than 30 domains related to cities, of which some are at the very top, such as NewYork.travel and London.travel. Pixeldreams uses its brand Guias.Travel for their Spanish developments, and in the case of multilingual developments, the reference brand will be WorldGuides.travel.
The other part of this partnership agreement is with Max Kivva, a Russian entrepreneur who was asked by Pixeldreams to purchase some of their domains, who thought that maybe it was best to reach an agreement for joint exploitation, and so after many conversations, an agreement was reached.
The first of these developments will be NewYork.travel becoming the English version of NuevaYork.travel, immediately after London.travel is launched, although in this case incorporating some improvements in development that will permit other business models to be built upon it.
As Isaac Paton says, "We want to establish an office in London through London.travel; with it we want to be not only a sales channel, we open the door to all those involved in the tourism industry in London, as they can have a voice and take advantage of the potential of this domain to have a speaker to the world."
Pixeldreams was already making purchases with the intention of entering the multi-language market and had a large portfolio of generic geodomains, but this move gives way to a very important step, making it the leader in .travel geodomains at this time and becoming a principal actor in the travel guides business.
