South Africa Travel Online have teamed up with self-styled “dangerous romantic” rap artist, Jack Parow, to create a uniquely themed end of year party cruise from Durban. The cruise is from Durban to two Mozambican islands : Portuguese Island and Inhambane, leaving on the 8th December and returning on the 12th December 2014.
Jack Parow, the bad boy of the South African music industry, is riding the crest of a wave after the launch of his “Bloubek” (blue mouth) album this month. Although Parow, whose real name is Zander Tyler, used to have a job packing fish at Cape Town harbour, this will be his first gig out at sea. Accompanying Tyler will be DJ Naaldekoker, and together they’ll be entertaining with their music in the evenings, after guests spend the day soaking up the sun on the Mozambican beaches.
“If you want to be part of the best party this year and imbibe your favourite tipple”, then this cruise is for you. No drinking and driving required!” says Karen Baker, head of the cruise division at South Africa Travel Online. Join the ‘heavy uitgeskollie’ (major gangster) Jack Parow, the Pirate of the Caravan Park, as he swaps hats and takes on the role of Party Captain for 4 nights on the MSC Opera. You also get to hear DJ Naaldekoker ripping up the decks, and if you’re lucky those won’t be the ones on the ship.”
Jack Parow shot to fame in South Africa back in 2009; after spending time doing odd jobs to support his music habit – other than fish packing he was also involved in grave allocating. (yes, you read that correctly). Parow was involved in the hit track, Die Vraagstuk. Since then, he has 3 albums under that long peaked cap of his and has been turning up the heat at parties and festivals with his hits, such as Cooler as Ekke and Hosh Tokolosh.
“We don’t know if Parow & Naaldekoker will behave themselves, but we can guarantee that you will party till you drop with this man in charge! Don’t expect to get a lot of sleep on this cruise”, said Baker.
The cruise is on the MSC Opera, a Lirica-class ship belonging to Swiss/Italian company, MSC Cruises. She has 856 cabins, and is the only cruise ship MSC Cruises are sending to South Africa in the 2014/2015 season, as the company will have started the process of sending their Lirica-class ships to dry dock to be lengthened. The MSC Opera will have her turn to be lengthened at the end of the South African cruise season, from the 2nd May 2015 until the 4th July 2015.
The Jack Parow Party is available exclusively from South Africa Travel Online, who are currently offering 2 packages on which you can book this cruise. You can either book the cruise on its own and make all your own travel arrangements, or they’ve packaged together Kulula flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg to King Shaka International Airport, shuttles from the airport (DUR) to the awaiting MSC Opera cruise ship and of course the Party cruise from Durban to Inhambane/Portuguese Island.
