Pioneering new company in community travel launching in four new global destinations.

Following the successful rollout of TripTide Australia, the company is launching new sites in Canada, Spain and Sri Lanka - TripTide Southern Africa was launched in December 2013. TripTide Australia is an online travel portal which brings travellers and the local community together onto a single platform from which visitors can access, purchase and share definitive information, experiences, advice about the destination and its tourism products.

TripTide Australia is fully integrated with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) and gives users access to 10,380 accommodation and over 2,000 tours across Australia. The company is now seeking an Australian partner to develop the brand by building membership and revenues through an exclusive “in-country” partnership.

All TripTide hubs will be managed by an in-country team to ensure that the content, resources and local knowledge are unique to each destination. Tendering for the Australian partnership is currently underway with the intention of having all operational activity run from Australia by June.

TripTide Australia was launched at the annual Australian Tourism Exchange, ATE 2013, in Sydney, and uses a revolutionary combination of technology and social media to create a multi-dimensional resource for both the travel industry and consumer.

The TripTide concept is based on the premise that the immense, largely untapped resource of insider knowledge held by the local community and tourism suppliers, combined with the

experiences and the powerful word-of- mouth from repeat visitors, gives new travellers the very best information on which to draw when both planning and enjoying a holiday.

Members of the travel trade in each destination featured by TripTide are encouraged to take up a free-of-charge membership of TripTide through a recruitment programme which includes setting up and optimising each members account.

As well as giving members access to a large audience of new and repeat visitors, the commission- based structure provides TripTide members with an array of benefits ranging from optimised product pages, built by TripTide, to an on line booking facility, direct referrals, auctions and group purchasing discounts.
