A first for Saudi Arabian Airlines: Non stop Saudi Arabia - Los Angeles

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is finalizing its preparations for the launch of its nonstop flights from Saudi Arabia to Los Angeles. The flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to the second largest city in the USA will be the fastest, most direct link between Saudi Arabia and the western region of the USA when the flights start on March 31, 2014.
The new Saudia flights will serve business travelers, Saudi tourists, Muslim Americans and residents travelling to the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah for pilgrimage as well as the tens of thousands of Saudi students studying in colleges and universities in the West Coast. The flights from Los Angeles to Jeddah will also have good connections for travel beyond Saudi Arabia to Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The new Saudia flights will use Boeing 777-300ERs three flights weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using the newly renovated Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new terminal is the centerpiece of a multi-billion dollar development program for LAX, which includes new retail, dining, and gate areas at its premier international terminal
Flight SV41 arrives in Los Angeles at 10:00 am and the return flight SV42 takes off for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 3:00 pm, arriving in Jeddah at 5:20 pm (local time) the following day.
To celebrate these new flights, members of Saudia’s Alfursan frequent flyer program may earn double miles from March 31 to May 31, 2014.
Saudi Arabian Airlines is a member of Skyteam. Frequent travelers on Aeroflot, Aerolineas Argentinas, Aero Mexico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Czech Airlines, Delta, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, MEA, Tarom, Vietnam Airlines, and Xiamen Air earn miles and enjoy their mileage program status on Saudia.
The flights offer three classes of service with passengers enjoying world-class cuisine and in-flight services, including state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.
Up-to-date information on these new routes may be found on the Saudia website at
