Palm Springs Gears Up for Seven Music & Dance Festivals in April 2014

Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism rounds up the top music and dance special events taking place this spring.

Music lovers will unite in Palm Springs to attend an eclectic mix of concerts, festivals and parties ranging from jazz to electronica to indie rock. Live music and entertainment have long played a fundamental role in Palm Springs’ evolution ranging from supper clubs to circuit parties to outdoor concerts.

In April 2014, there are seven music and dance events scheduled including The Dinah Shore Weekend, Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival, The White Party, Opera in the Park, Tachevah: A Palm Springs Block Party, Coachella Music Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival.

Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend
Dates: April 2-6, 2014

Description: More than 15,000 women from all over the world will gather in Palm Springs for The Dinah, also known as The Dinah Shore Weekend by Club Skirts. This LGBT event has been in Palm Springs for 24 years, and coincides with the Ladies Professional Gold Association’s Kraft Nabisco Championship Golf Tournament (formerly the Dinah Shore Golf Championship).

Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival
Dates: April 4-7, 2014

Description: A four-day festival of jazz performances at several venues and clubs throughout downtown. The festival brings female jazz performers of the highest caliber for a multi-event walking jazz tour of the city.

Palm Springs Opera in the Park

Tachevah: A Palm Springs Block Party
Date: April 16, 2014

Location: Downtown Palm Springs
Description: A free outdoor concert in downtown Palm Springs between the Coachella Music Festival weekends featuring a headlining band and three regional unsigned bands picked by Goldenvoice who will perform their original songs. Up and coming DJs will play in between band performances.

Jeffrey Sanker’s White Party
Dates: April 25-28, 2014
Locations: Special events at Palm Springs Convention Center and Renaissance Palm Springs.

Coachella Valley Music Festival

Stagecoach Country Music Festival
