The popular and high-level art fiesta from China is coming
to Seychelles by a top Chinese troupe during the first Seychelles-China Day
Celebrations starting January 31. As a gift to all in universal pursuit of art
and beauty, free tickets for the performance will be available from the front
desk of the Chinese Embassy at St. Louis for the show at the International
Conference Centre (ICCS) of February 2.
The Liaoning Art Troupe from China consists of 35
outstanding performers from Liaoning Corps de Ballet, Liaoning Opera House,
Liaoning Song and Dance Troupe, Shenyang Acrobatic Troupe, and Jinzhou Puppet
Troupe. This time, the troupe will put on a performance with a rich variety
from ballets, singing, acrobatics, and magic, to puppets performance.
Liaoning Corps de Ballet is among the top five such groups
in China, who has creatively integrated traditional Chinese art and modern
elements in classical ballet, and they have won various medals and honors at
home and around the world. The Liaoning Corps has been invited to visit France,
Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S., and they have represented China
in the 2013 cultural exchange with Brazil. During their stay in Seychelles,
these national top-level dancers will present classical ballet passages like Raymonda,
as well as several original modern ballets. Liaoning Opera House,
Song&Dance Troupe, Acrobatic Troupe, and Jinzhou Puppet Troupe have also
been invited to perform abroad for many times, winning great applause from
overseas audience.
This year the troupe hopes to add a plus to the Seychelles-China
Day Celebrations and offer a treat of arts to the Seychellois and visitors in
the islands. They have said that they hope to help set a bridge of art to push
the already deep Seychelles-China friendship to a new high.
