Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin has been voted as a Top Hotel 2014 by leading travel website HolidayCheck, and has also won the HolidayCheck Award 2014.
The resort hotel, which originally opened in 1923 as the Railway Hotel, and which is a member of Leading Hotels of the World, won the awards for the number of reviews and the high ratings given to it by guests.
Worldwide, the reviews of more than 980,000 holidaymakers were analysed for the awards, which named a total of 389 winning hotels in six categories.
“Guest satisfaction is of course our number one priority, and to receive these two awards from HolidayCheck is a wonderful achievement as they are based on the true experiences of our guests,” says Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts.
Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin was the first resort hotel in Thailand, opening when the railway line was built from Bangkok to Malaysia.
The hotel has been in the portfolio of Centara Hotels & Resorts since 1985 and has recently been renovated with every sensitivity towards its origins.
“We are always very much aware both of our heritage and the needs of our modern-day guests,” says the hotel’s general manager, Jacques Mury.
“To win these two awards is a matter of great pride for all of our staff here, and recognises what a wonderful experience this lovely old hotel is for our guests.”
