Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas Announces $8.2 Million Room Renovation:

Officials at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas are proud to announce the hotel will be undertaking an $8.2 million room renovation project, resulting in the completion of 56 new, luxury Mountain Suites in time for the 2013-2014 ski season.

As Steamboat Springs’ only ski-in, ski-out, full-service hotel, the addition of the studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom Mountain Suites will bring the Sheraton Steamboat Resort’s total room count to 285. The rooms, which were originally intended to be Starwood Vacation Ownership units, are now being completed as suites, offering incredible mountain or valley views.  The Mountain Suites feature granite countertops, either mini or full kitchens, washer and dryer, five-piece bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II Beds, and more. Many of the suites are designed as “lock-offs” offering guests the option to book lodging similar to a high-end, three-bedroom condominium, but with all of the services and amenities of a hotel.

The Mountain Suites feature a fresh, Colorado Mountain Contemporary style highlighted by natural stone gas fireplaces. Modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, beautiful cabinetry and granite counter tops flow into spacious sitting areas where custom furniture awaits, complete with built-in outlets designed for the modern traveler. Natural wood accent tables, distinctive artwork including log slices and photography collages bring in the beauty and serenity of the surrounding mountains. Large soaking tubs, glass-enclosed showers, built-in storage and washer/dryer combos provide added conveniences for longer stays.

“We are incredibly excited that the new Mountain Suites are, at long last, being finished, and presented to our guests,” said Sheraton Steamboat Resort general manager, Dan Pirrallo. “The Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas is truly where Steamboat plays and adventure begins…we can’t wait for our guests to embark on this new adventure with us.”

In addition to 188 guestrooms, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas currently features 20 studio, one- and two-bedroom condos, and 21, two-, and three-bedroom Resort Villas, managed by Starwood Vacation Ownership. The hotel is home to five signature restaurants, including Sevens Restaurant, Saddles Lounge, Breezeway Café, Fish Creek Grille (at the golf course) and Bear River Bar & Grill.

The hotel’s award-winning Rollingstone Ranch Golf Course is a championship, Robert Trent Jones II-designed and Troon-managed course, and was named one of Colorado’s “Best Resort Courses” in 2011 by Colorado Avid Golfer.

The Sheraton Steamboat Resort features 28,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space themed around the “Seasons of Colorado.”  With 17 meeting rooms, including the 7,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort can accommodate groups of up to 1,000 people.
