Cabinair Services successfully reconfigures and refurbishes cabin interior of Air Greenland A330
Cabinair Services, an SA Group subsidiary specialising in the maintenance, repair, overhaul and servicing of aircraft interiors, is delighted to announce that it has successfully completed a contract awarded by Air Greenland to reconfigure and refurbish the interior of the airline’s A330-200.
In addition to increasing the passenger capacity by replacing four rows of business class seats with seven rows of economy class, the project involved the procurement and the modification of seats and IFE equipment, the manufacture and fitting of new seat covers and curtains, the templating and fitting of new carpets, and the installation of new PSUs, lighting panels and oxygen generators.
Cabinair Services undertook all of the on-board work during a nine day period when the aircraft was undergoing planned maintenance in Air Greenland’s hangar at Copenhagen Airport.
Steve Buckingham, Cabinair Service’s Operations Director, commented:
“This was an excellent project for us to win because the Air Greenland A330 gave us the opportunity to demonstrate such a wide range of Cabinair Services’ capabilities – from procurement and manufacture to installation at the customer’s site.”
Henrik Keil, Technical Manager for Air Greenland, added:
“We were impressed with the efficiency, skill and professionalism that Cabinair Services demonstrated in both the planning and execution phases of this contract, and we are very pleased with the end result of their work.”
