Grand Hyatt Tokyo Anniversary Celebration

As Grand Hyatt Tokyo celebrates its 10th anniversary celebrations, Hyatt & Resorts is also celebrating its strong relationship with the hotel’s owner, Mori Building, Co. Ltd. (Mori Building), a company renowned for its strong culture, performance and operating philosophies.

“In the past decade, Hyatt and Mori Building have created outstanding hotels that have helped to redefine the meaning of authentic hospitality in their markets. Looking forward, we believe that Andaz Tokyo will be just as well received,” said Larry Tchou, group president – Asia Pacific Hyatt Hotels Corporation.  “We are proud to celebrate such an enduring relationship with Mori Building, who shares our commitment to high quality services and driving customer preference across the region.”

Mori Building, which owns Park Hyatt Shanghai and will own the Andaz Tokyo that is currently under development, has become one of Hyatt’s longest-standing, multi-brand owners in the world.  Earlier this year, Hyatt honoured Mori Building with its ‘Strategic Partner’ 2013 award at a ceremony held in the United States to recognise excellence among owners and developers worldwide.

“Our partnership with Hyatt has seen outstanding results to date, with mutual understanding and a shared vision,” said Hiroo Mori, President and CEO of Mori Hospitality Corporation. “Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s 10th anniversary marks just one of many milestones I am sure we will jointly establish in the years to come.  We already look forward to working with Hyatt on Tokyo’s very first Andaz hotel, set to open by 2014.”

Grand Hyatt Tokyo Celebrates 10 Years

The10th anniversary of Grand Hyatt Tokyo, set for 25 April 2013, will showcase Hyatt’s commitment to developing mutually beneficial relationships with its owners. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary is the renewal project for the 387 guestrooms and suites at Grand Hyatt Tokyo.  The renovation is already underway and is expected to finish by spring 2014.  The renewed guestrooms will be equipped with new fixtures and enhanced functionality is part of Mori Building’s and Hyatt’s initiative and commitment to offer innovative products and services to the guests.

Located in the heart of Roppongi Hills, the 387-room Grand Hyatt Tokyo is a dynamic “lifestyle destination hotel” designed in modern style and renowned for its authentic cuisine.  Since January, the acclaimed hotel make the Travel and Leisure 500 – The Best Hotels in the World list, as well as the Traveller’s Choice Award on TripAdvisor and Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List.

Grand Hyatt Tokyo continues to lead in providing authentic hospitality.  To mark ten years, the hotel participated in Roppongi Art Night as a venue showcasing unique local artwork and embraced the community spirit.  Furthermore, with a commitment to enhancing the guest experience, Grand Hyatt Tokyo is now the very first luxury hotel to offer an executive Grand Club Lounge with a terrace in Tokyo – an outdoor area, with Japanese themed garden overlooking the city – among other recent renovations.

The relationship with Mori Building further extends to Park Hyatt Shanghai, a sophisticated luxury hotel in the heart of the city.  The property has been awarded Outstanding Achievement in Quality and Exceptional Service 2012 by Forbes China and 2012 Best Hotel in Shanghai by Time Out.

Hyatt’s portfolio of boutique-style hotels within key gateway cities around the globe will see Andaz Tokyo open its doors in summer 2014.  The very first Andaz hotel in Japan, the hotel will unite Hyatt’s creative community focus and refined boutique style with the personalized service for which Japan is known.
