The Mayfair Hotel and Spa Coconut Grove sales announcement
The Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove has recently appointed Fernando Rivera as the new director of sales and marketing. In his newly appointed role, Rivera will be responsible for creating and implementing tactical and strategic marketing plans, overseeing and developing annual budgets and maintaining consistent brand loyalty that reflects the hotel’s culture and customer relation goals and values.
“Fernando’s accomplishments and 15 years of experience working with top brand hotels makes him a great asset to our team,” said the hotel’s General Manager Axel Gasser. “His accomplishments reflect the standards our hotel carries with providing the best customer service to our visitors and guests.”
Prior to joining the Mayfair Hotel and Spa, Rivera was the vice president of Global Accounts at Hospitality Performance Network (HPN). His responsibilities led to the introduction of HPN Global into Latin America and Caribbean markets. He began several global marketing initiatives for hotel brands such as the Intercontinental Hotel Group, Grand Hyatt New York and Hyatt Regency Miami.
Fernando earned his Executive MBA in International Business at University of Miami. He also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and a minor in Marketing from the Florida International University in Miami and Advanced Executive Studies at Cornelll University School of Hotel Management.
