EL AL has already added flights to its regular schedule for Sukkoth and will add for the entire holiday season as needed,” stated Michael Mayer, CEO, North & Central America of EL AL. “EL AL is committed to delivering affordable fares as well as offering the most nonstop flights and the most convenient connections, making travel from the U.S.A. to Israel easier than ever.” Fall Fares Attractively priced fall savings for EL AL flights between the United States and Israel are available for travel from September 1 through October 31, 2006. EL AL is offering a special roundtrip fare for passengers flying nonstop on EL AL from New York (JFK and Newark) to Tel Aviv for only $935. From Chicago, passengers can fly EL AL on the only direct service to Israel for as low as $1,035. From Miami, passengers can fly on the only nonstop service between Miami and Tel Aviv, for a roundtrip fare of $1,145. From Los Angeles, passengers can fly on the only nonstop service between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv for a special roundtrip fare of just $1,235. Spectacular roundtrip fall fares from additional U.S. cities to Israel are also available. For just $935, passengers can visit Israel from Boston, Baltimore, Pittsburg, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and Cincinnati. A fare of just $1,045 is available for passengers flying from Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, and St. Louis. For just $1,135, travelers can fly from Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City. Passengers can fly from all of the above cities on a leading domestic carrier to connect to a nonstop EL AL flight to Israel. However, flights from Atlanta, Cincinnati, Washington, DC, Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Orlando are also served by an EL AL/Delta codeshare flight to connect to the EL AL nonstop flight to Israel. Familiarization Trips EL AL is working and communicating with travel agents as well as community, religious and organizational leaders to arrange familiarization trips to Israel, coordinating site inspections and tours of locations for future trips for their constituents and clients, both groups and individuals. Air Fare Vouchers EL AL is also working on The Galilee Spirit project in conjunction with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the Israel Ministry of Tourism, The Galilee Development Authority, the Israel Hotel Association, and the Prime Minister’s office. This unique, innovative program is designed to assist the tourism industry in Israel’s Northern Region, which has suffered greatly during the current conflict.
