Stratus Alliance Aircraft Charter Network Launches in Texas

eTN

Stratus Alliance, a new, low-cost aircraft charter network aimed at business and pleasure travelers, has chosen the Texas market as the starting point for growing their affordable service on a national level.

The discounted cost model for the Stratus Alliance network makes air travel by private aircraft charter available to a wider segment of the flying public and flights can easily be booked on line. All Stratus Alliance network flights will be flown aboard Cirrus SR22-GTS aircraft operated by independent FAA Part 135 air carriers which meet stringent FAA safety standards.

Stratus Alliance partners Regis de Ramel and Harold Graves chose the Cirrus SR22 because the four-passenger SR22 is the world's best-selling airplane, and offers the latest advances in safety innovations, with a luxury leather interior complementing the sophisticated avionics found in the cockpit. Because of the efficient performance of the SR22, the network's charter flights can be flown for as little as $395 per flight hour for up to three passengers when block time is purchased through the Stratus Select membership program.

"Our network makes aircraft charter available to people who never thought they could afford to fly on a private charter flight," explains Graves. "By flying on their schedule into smaller local airports, our clients save valuable time on ground transportation. We call this service 'destination direct(R)' and one of the main missions of our network flights will be the ability to fly multi-city trips in the same day. Without the needless delays at commercial terminals, Stratus clients are often able to visit several airports quickly, and still return home in time to enjoy evening quality time with family."

A recent Virginia Tech study discovered that aircraft charter priced near $400 per flight hour would create such strong demand by 2010, it would take 100 aircraft each flying 100 hours per month just to service the Texas region alone. "Because of this anticipated demand, we are actively seeking investors to acquire new Cirrus SR22-GTS aircraft through our program," said de Ramel, "and place these aircraft into our managed air charter system that returns revenue to the aircraft owner, while coordinating the airplane's crewing, maintenance, hangar fees and insurance. These aircraft owner investors may be able to maximize their tax savings while enjoying discounted travel within the Stratus Alliance Network."

Currently, operators in the Stratus Network offer flights into most public use airports throughout Texas and the adjacent states. However, aggressive growth plans will bring low-cost air charter access to over 6,000 such airports in the United States.

Representatives from Stratus Alliance will hold open houses in the Houston area at Tomball Jet Center on Friday, November 30, and Southwest Airport Services and Sugar Land Town Square on Saturday, Dec 1.
