Vietnam airline companies order 12 Dreamliner planes from Boeing

US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing has announced that they would be supplying 12 Dreamliner planes to airline companies in Vietnam.
These planes have been acquired by Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Joint Stock Company.
Vietnam Airlines is one of five founding shareholders in Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Joint Stock Company.
Vietnam Airlines currently has 46 aircrafts but they are aiming to double their fleet in the coming years to tackle the ever growing competition in the market.
Pham Ngoc Minh, deputy director general of Vietnam Airlines spoke on this new development: “You can see the fleet today and guess for the future but as an airline business our response to the market is we will operate the most modern and the most efficient fleet.”
