American Airlines Will Offer Double AAdvantage Miles on JFK-St. Lucia Flights Beginning Thursday

Travelers who fly on American Airlines new route between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and St. Lucia in the Caribbean, beginning this Thursday, will earn double AAdvantage miles for every qualifying round trip or one-way trip through Feb. 12, 2008.

This AAdvantage bonus-mile offer may be earned an unlimited number of times for travel from JFK to St. Lucia from Nov. 15, 2007, through Feb. 12, 2008. To qualify, AAdvantage members must purchase a valid published-fare ticket and register prior to travel at http://www.aa.com/offers using promotion code NYCRB.


American is already the largest U.S. airline flying out of New York to the Caribbean, and the new flights will be the only nonstop service currently scheduled between New York and St. Lucia, a lush tropical island located northwest of Barbados.


American will fly the route three times weekly beginning Thursday, Nov. 15, with flights operating into St. Lucia's Hewanorra International Airport. Service will be flown with Boeing 757 aircraft, configured with 22 seats in First Class and 166 seats in the Economy Cabin. American currently offers daily nonstop service to St. Lucia (Hewanorra) from Miami, while its regional partner, American Eagle, flies five times daily from San Juan, Puerto Rico (to George F.L. Charles Airport).

Service operates on Thursday/Saturday/Monday through Dec. 13, 2007, and then Thursday/Sunday/Monday thereafter.


St. Lucia is the first new Caribbean destination from New York to be added to American's schedule this year. American will begin nonstop service from JFK to St. Kitts and Nevis, starting Sunday, Nov. 18.
