50 Free Stays To Be Given Away To Active & Retired Military Personnel

In celebration of Veteran's Day, the New Yorker Hotel, located in the heart of New York City, is launching a year-long Armed Services Appreciation Program, featuring a contest giveaway of 50 FREE stays at the hotel as well as discounted nightly rates, in honor of the country's valued members of the armed services, active and retired, who have defended America's freedoms. At the same time, the hotel is urging the entire hospitality industry to launch their own version of a 'thank you' to the members of the armed services.

"It is up to all of us to find ways to thank the brave men and women of our military for their service to our country," said Kevin H. Smith, executive vice president and general manager of the New Yorker Hotel. "To that end, we created the Armed Services Appreciation Program, which we envision as the springboard for a larger nationwide campaign where members of the hospitality and tourism industry recognize our troops and their families with discounts and other amenities," Smith added.

As part of the Armed Services Appreciation Program, the New Yorker Hotel has put together a promotion through its website at www.newyorkerhotel.com that will award 50 complimentary weekend stays at the property plus breakfast to military personnel. In order to be eligible for one of the 50 stays, entrants must be an active or retired member of the armed services. For more details on the promotion or to enter to win, please visit http://www.newyorkerhotel.com/military.php.

In addition to the 50 FREE stays, the New Yorker Hotel is offering a 20% discount on direct bookings to all military personnel (active and retired) who stay at the hotel now through 2008.

Military credentials will be required upon check-in at the hotel for either the 20 percent discount or to claim one of the 50 weekend stays.
