Direct to the Big Apple From Flint, Mich., on American Eagle Airlines

American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, today began nonstop service between New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Bishop International Airport in Flint, Mich. (FNT).


American Eagle operates the round-trip service with its 37-seat Embraer ERJ-135 jets.


"We are pleased to provide this new service for those who fly from Flint," said American Eagle President and CEO Peter Bowler. "This new flight will give our business customers the opportunity to have a day trip to New York City."


"Thanksgiving has come early for us," said Bishop International Airport Director Jim Rice. "American Eagle has given us the jet service to LaGuardia that our entire region has been needing for years. It's a huge boost to our economy. New York, here we come!"


The schedule for the new route follows (all times local):

Flint to New York LaGuardia (FNT-LGA)

New York LaGuardia to Flint (LGA-FNT)

In addition to the New York service, American Eagle has four daily nonstops to Chicago O'Hare International Airport and two daily nonstops to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from Flint.
