Medical tourists come to Turkey

nirvanainternational.com

People in the UK are coming to Turkey for their medical treatment, according to reports.

Some of the suggested reasons for the surge of 'medical tourism' are quality of service, cheaper prices and the chance to go on a mini-holiday of sorts.

The type of surgery received by overseas visitors varies from cosmetic to dentistry.

UK group Treatment Abroad says: "British medical tourists are making great savings, avoiding long waiting lists and enjoying a great holiday to boot.

"The rapid growth of medical tourism has allowed Britons to save thousands of pounds on medical procedures."

Turkish medical centres that are currently welcoming overseas visitors include the Dunya Eye Hospital, Jinemed Hospital in Istanbul and the Transmed Hair Restoration and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic.

Transmed has negotiated competitive rates with four and five stars hotels nearby to the clinic in Levent, Istanbul.
