United changes travel plan policies for customers affected by California wildfirestradingmarkets.com United Airlines said that it is offering advice for its customers in light of wildfires for those travellers beginning and ending their journey at many airports in southern California.The airline also said that for customers who would like to change travel plans, United is waiving certain change fees and for affected customers who would like to make a change to their travel plans, certain ticketing rules have also been waived. Rescheduled travel may be subject to higher fares if it does not meet original rule and booking-code restrictions or is a new itinerary. The revised policies apply to all tickets purchased 22 October or earlier for travel 22-25 October, beginning and ending in many southern California cities, on any United, United Express, Ted or United codeshare flight. For those who want to make use of the offer, origin and destination cities must remain the same, and rescheduled travel must be completed within 331 days of the scheduled travel date. Changes must be made by midnight of the customer's original travel date. |
