eTN

Travel agents and general delegates interested in attending the 30th Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference have until September 29th to avoid late registration fees, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

The Conference, which runs from Oct. 19 – 24, 2007 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, attracts delegates from all sectors of the tourism industry who will gather under the theme of “The Next Generation: Learning From the Past, Preparing for the Future.”

After September 29th, travel agents pay an additional $50 to register while general delegates pay $100 more. All of the registration forms can be found on the website at www.onecaribbean.org.

This year’s conference will feature a strong mix of informational sessions along with networking opportunities and the return of its popular trade show, which made its debut at last year’s conference.

Among the planned “Master Class” sessions for attendees include: exploring climate change and its impact on tourism; social networking on the Web and its uses for tourism; capitalizing on the meetings and incentives market; and executive and staff development trends in the tourism industry. A full roster of expert speakers will be on hand to provide their knowledge.

The CTO expects to host more than 600 tourism industry officials representing Caribbean governments, hotels, airlines, cruise lines, travel agents, tour operators, strategic partners and media representatives from around the world.

Information on registration for the 30th Annual Caribbean Tourism Conference is available at www.onecaribbean.org
