eTN

EL AL, the national airline of Israel, is proud to welcome premium class passengers to its new King David Lounges in Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport in New York.

The new, lavish First and Platinum Business Class Lounges and Bank Leumi Business Center, a $1 million investment between EL AL and Bank Leumi, reflect the airline's continued commitment to provide passengers with modern, luxurious facilities that further contribute to a memorable EL AL experience.

The new, spacious lounges feature state-of-the-art amenities, including four LCD-plasma flat screen televisions. The lounges total 1,400 square feet in size and seat approximately 125 passengers. The stunning, open-air design, combined with comfortable furniture in natural hues with subtle red accent tones, contribute to a relaxing atmosphere for travelers. Artwork by a number of well known Israeli artists, such as Moshe Gershuni, Leah Nikel and Menashe Kadishman, is prominently displayed throughout. A variety of publications in English and Hebrew will also be available. Travelers can refresh by using the lounge's new on-site shower facility, as well as recharge with light hors d'oeuvres and dessert. A selection of alcohol, fine Israeli wines and soft drinks will also be offered.

The Bank Leumi Business Center provides travelers the convenience of four computer terminals and 10 wireless Internet connection ports, allowing premium class passengers to easily and efficiently complete any remaining business before departing for Israel. In addition to the lounge at JFK, EL AL has partnered with Bank Leumi in sponsoring three other Business Centers, located in Paris, London and Israel.

"The new, luxurious EL AL First and Platinum Business Class lounges and the Bank Leumi Business Center truly reflect our outlook on modernity and innovation. As the leading airline to Israel for both tourists and the business sector, EL AL is proud to provide our passengers with the preeminent, most up-to-date lounge facilities and atmosphere," says Offer Gat, CEO of EL AL in North and Central America. "This is part of the overall effort to constantly provide a more comfortable, pleasant and unforgettable EL AL flying experience."

The new First and Business Class lounges as well as the Bank Leumi Business Center are open at least four hours prior to every EL AL flight departing JFK. An EL AL King David host or hostess will be on-site and ready and willing to assist passengers in the new lounges as well.
