eTN

American Airlines has been selected as one of LATINA Style's Top 50 companies for Latinas to work for in the United States.

The magazine's annual survey serves as the most respected source of employment and career information for Hispanic women.

The Top 50 winners were selected from a pool of more than 800 U.S. corporations. The results of the 2007 winners were unveiled at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 31, 2007. They will also be formally honored on Feb. 7, 2008, during LATINA Style's Awards Ceremony & Diversity Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., and recognized at an exclusive awards reception at the White House, hosted by U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao.

"We recognize and applaud LATINA Style's profound dedication to catering to the needs and concerns of professional Hispanic women across the country," said Denise Lynn, American's Vice President - Diversity and Leadership Strategies. "We are honored to have been selected among so many other respected organizations and will continue embracing our commitment to the professional development of Latin women in today's business world."

The report of the top 50 companies selected will be distributed to Hispanic professional and civic organizations, national women's organizations, colleges and universities, all members of Congress, the White House, and members of the Cabinet, among others. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the program.
