THE Namibia Tourisam Board (NTB) has condemned the recent killing of a German tourist.
NTB's Acting Chief Executive Officer Digu Naobeb said NTB learned "with shock and dismay" of the death of 56 year-old Johannes Fellinger.
Naobeb assured all their partners in the tourism sector that the Namibian government was committed to apprehend those responsible.
"This isolated incident in our peaceful country came as a terrible shock to the Namibian people and everyone involved in tourism."
Naobeb said during the past four years, more than 3 million tourists travelled throughout Namibia, of which 660 000 were long-haul travellers.
These visitors, he said, have experienced the unspoilt nature and friendliness of Namibia with a few crime related incidents.
