Indian tourists, the second worst in the world, says survey

newkerala.com

Indian tourists have been ranked as second worst in the world, preceded by the French, and followed by the Chinese, the Russians and the British, according to a survey of hoteliers.

British tourists, the survey said are noisy, rude and miserly.

According to The Sun, they were voted the fifth worst holidaymakers. Five years ago they were labelled the most unpleasant.

They were second in the worst-dressed tourist table in a poll of 15,000 hoteliers.

Americans were top and fifth in the least-generous table, headed by the Germans.

Hotel bosses blasted the French for rudeness and for refusing to speak the local lingo.

Nations were judged on behaviour, politeness, tidiness, noise, willingness to speak the language, spending and fashion sense.

The Japanese were voted the best tourists - scoring highly for politeness, tidiness and tipping - followed by the Americans and the Swiss.
