Direct flights between Japan and Czech Republic discussed in tourism-related event

H.E. Mr. Jaromir Novotny, ambassador of the Czech Republic in Japan, Shigeo Okinaka, representative of Czech Tourism, and other delegation officials gather at a Czech tourism-related event in Tokyo titled "Destination in the Heart of Europe."
At the event, also attended by Petr Holy, director of the Czech Centre Tokyo, officials discussed exchange between Japan and the Czech Republic and the possibility of introducing direct flights between the two countries.
Pointing out that about 160,000 Japanese people visited the Czech Republic in 2006, Novotny underscored expectations for future tourism development, saying, it was probably a good time to introduce direct flights.
Prague Airport and Czech Airlines were represented at the April 23 event, along with Japan Airlines.
