New airline official is appointed

Mahmood Hashem Al Kooheji, the deputy chief executive officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), has been appointed as deputy chairman of the Gulf Air's board of directors.
Jawad Habib Jawad has also been appointed as a new member of the board.
The board includes two other members from Bahrain - Khalid Omar Al Rumaihi and Michael Wette - representing the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company.
Gulf Air's board of directors consists of eight members split equally between Oman and Bahrain.
"On behalf of myself and other board members, who represent the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, it is my honour to extend our deepest gratitude to the leadership of the country for the trust that has been awarded to us and promise to strive hard to achieve the country's aspirations," said Mr Al Kooheji.
"I am also grateful and thankful to Abdul Aziz Jassim Kanoo for his hard work and effort during his tenure as the chairman of the board.
"I also welcome Mr Jawad as a new member to the Gulf Air board, our national carrier will highly benefit from his well established experience in the fields of accounting and consultancy."
