SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17-- San Francisco was declared the winner of the Best US Destination City by Conde Nast Traveler's annual Readers' Choice Awards. San Francisco the #1 US City has also been #1 for 18 of the past 19 years, scoring the highest in the poll's "Top Ten US Cities." The competing cities were judged in multiple categories including: ambiance, friendliness, culture/sites, restaurants, lodging and shopping. The results are pulled from the largest independent poll of consumers preferences, second only to the U.S. Census.
