While it is too early in the season to tell who will make it to the end, Week 9 has today Louisiana Tech visiting Rice, two teams that played on the final day of the regular season last year to determine the West Division title. On Saturday, in C-USA action, WKU will make its first visit to Old Dominion. UTEP, dressed in all orange uniforms, travels to Southern Miss who will be wearing their all-black home uniforms on Halloween in Hattiesburg. Marshall heads to Charlotte; the Shula Bowl will be renewed in Boca Raton when FIU makes the 45-minute trek north to face Florida Atlantic, and West Division in-state rivals UTSAA and North Texas meet. Also Saturday in the MAC, UMass is at Ball State and Central Michigan goes to Akron.

The Popeyes Bahamas Bowl is a NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) postseason bowl game that exists to promote the Islands of The Bahamas, and in turn, promote educational and athletic opportunities to the youth of The Bahamas through college football.
