Seychelles Welcomes First Tapas Lounge Bar

LE DUC DE PRASLIN is set to launch its latest food & beverage outlet with a difference over the weekend of 6th and 7th February. The “Chill Out” Tapas Lounge Bar is a unique concept designed to provide guests (tourists and locals) with an entertainment venue that will allow the patrons to meet and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere. It is a first for Seychelles and is a welcome addition to the product offerings of the country’s budding hospitality landscape.

The chic and sophisticated lounge bar enjoys one of the most outstanding settings by the beach of Cote D’Or, with stunning views of the turquoise waters and nearby islands beyond. “Chill Out” is synonymous with entertainment and relaxation redefined.
The tapas lounge bar is located at the top of the highly reputed ‘Café des Arts’ fine dining seafood restaurant, which is also part of the dining outlets of Le Duc de Praslin.

Stylish, swanky and trendy, the surroundings blend in to create a cosmopolitan and erudite feel – conducive to a warm tropical ambiance, ideal for refined mingling…The outstanding views by the water’s edge is complemented by a swish décor, pastel colours and lighting scheme that are soothing to the senses. The lounge bar was conceived as a funky, lively, upmarket bar serving a great range of drinks and cocktails with tasty tapas style finger food. The furnishings are of the highest quality offering a mix of outdoor loungers, LED lit tables & chairs that provide a ‘groovy’ ambiance.

“Chill Out” proposes a range of tapas dishes, cocktails, beers and Spanish wines selection on tablets, which is in itself a novelty way of presenting the food & beverage offerings. The entertainment will encompass a bevy of local entertainers and an amazing selection of lounge music.

“Our new addition complements the existing product offerings and puts Le Duc on a new level, setting a new benchmark amongst the 4 Star establishments to even match the 5 star products and provides the local community of both Praslin & Mahe with a new concept and entertainment venue to enjoy”, enthuses Robert Payet, General Manager.

The Seychelles Minister for Tourism & Culture, Alain St. Ange congratulated the hotel’s management on this groundbreaking event  “It gives me great satisfaction to see a home-grown, hospitality product such as Le Duc de Praslin evolving to acquire such stature on the Seychelles scene with its constant stream of innovations. I wish this latest addition to its impressive suite of amenities – the very first Seychelles Tapas Lounge Bar – every success and hope that it provides inspiration for the growth of other, ground-breaking products to enrich our Seychelles hospitality experience,” the Minister said.

The opening of this new outlet is a major milestone as it coincides with the launching of the Le Duc de Praslin Fidelity Card.
