Jambojet gives away 5 tickets until April 1 launch

Jambojet, Kenya’s latest addition to the aviation scene, has just announced a major competition for wannabe passengers who want to fly with them at a cost cheaper than some bus fares.

Every day, 5 lucky travelers who book with the airline will either, through conventional means or online, win a ticket to their choice destination, be it Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, or Eldoret. The deal is valid with immediate effect, i.e., since noon today and will run until end of day on March 31, before April 1 at 630 a.m. when the first ever Jambojet flight will leave Nairobi for Kisumu, followed an hour later with their first departure to Mombasa. The startup airline has leased 3 Boeing B737-300 from parent corporation Kenya Airways, refurbished the cabin into a single-class economy configuration and is due soon to reveal their new livery.

Fares for those early birds booking well in advance, start from Kenya shillings 2,850 per sector and include a 10 kg hand baggage allowance, although checked bags or requests for specific seats will attract a further cost.

The airline has, since the launch of their booking system on March 27 raked, in thousands of bookings, many from first-time flyers who are, no wonder, considering the cost of travel and the time saved to get to their destination, migrating from bus travel to air travel, justifying the introduction of a low-cost carrier by national airline Kenya Airways. Best of luck to the contestants and Happy Landings, always.
