CK Ski offers marketing representation services to businesses seeking to target local and expat snowsports enthusiasts in Asia. Founded by Carrie Salmon and Kirsty Mullens, CK Ski has capitalised on the opportunity to offer their marketing services to tourist boards, tour operators, travel agents and independent businesses aiming to target snowsports enthusiasts in Hong Kong and other Asian hubs including Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore.
CK Ski provides advertising and media campaign management, representation at consumer and trade events, event management, PR & press, market research, content marketing, copywriting and communications - with integrated packages to suit the individual partner.
CK Ski research earlier this year indicated Whistler in Canada and European resorts accessed by direct flights as important destinations for Asia-based snowsports enthusiasts. With direct flights from Hong Kong to destinations including Zurich, Munich and Milan, tourist boards and tour operators in Europe can look to capitalise on new business from this region. Japan and South Korea were identified as the front-runners for short ski breaks from Hong Kong.
‘Our research into the Hong Kong and Chinese snowsports market has revealed huge potential, following the rise of outbound tourism,’ enthuses Carrie, ‘and we want to help our snowsports clients leverage this. Whether it is a tourist board seeking to increase their awareness or a tour operator aiming to target segments of the market to convert sales, we can help.’
Kirsty adds, ‘between us we have over 16 years experience in the UK snowsports and high-end travel industries and we are now looking forward to bringing our knowledge and skills within key Asian markets to attract and raise the profile of our partners’ businesses.’
Ski Armadillo, a leading ski chalet operator in Verbier, Switzerland, is looking to take advantage of this new opportunity. Mark Bush, Ski Armadillo Managing Director states, ‘Hong Kong is a new market for us and when we learnt CK Ski was establishing itself as the snowsports marketing representation company in Asia, we felt it would be a great fit. We want to expand our high-quality ski chalet product into new markets and drive sales in Asia, and the opportunity to partner with CK Ski and capitalise on their experience and knowledge came at the right time.’
