Golf Holidays to Bulgaria and Slovenia Launched


Balkan Holidays  has launched its first online golf brochure featuring golf breaks of two nights or more to some of Europe’s most breathtaking golfing venues in Bulgaria and Slovenia

As well as offering golf holidays at five luxury resorts in Bulgaria – three on the Black Sea - and at stunning Lake Bled in Slovenia, the new online golf brochure contains details of bespoke holidays that can be created for golfers by the operator’s tailormade department.

As each holiday is created specifically for the individual the brochure does not feature prices however a seven night golf break in Bulgaria in May for two people could cost from around £459* per person.

The brochure features three venues on the Black Sea - the luxurious five star Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort, which together with the Lighthouse Golf Resort and Blacksearama Golf & Villas are located on the northern Black Sea coast at Cape Kaliakra near the resort of Balchik. All three resorts are served by Varna Airport.

Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort makes the most of its stunning cliff-top location with spectacular sea views. The Gary Player designed course features 4.5km of rugged terrain above the sea. The resort includes three restaurants, swimming pools, two private beaches and a Spa and Fitness Centre.

BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas is a luxurious gated golf complex situated on a dramatic cliff-top plateau with a course designed by Gary Player, offering a challenging Par 72 course with stunning views. Facilities include a golf academy, driving range, golf shop, club house with indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, restaurant, bar and snack bar. There is also a spa fed by its own mineral spring, fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, outdoor children's pool, two tennis courts, fishing, mountain biking, volleyball, children's playground, bistro and wine cellar for wine tasting.

The nearby Lighthouse Golf Resort is situated on a plateau on the Black Sea coastline. The Par 71 course designed by Ian Woosnam enjoys breathtaking views over the Black Sea coastline, with lush greens and fairways. Accommodation is provided in studios, one and two bedroom apartments.

Also featured is Riu Pravets Golf and Spa Resort near Sofia and five star Pirin Golf & Country Club near the winter ski resort of Bansko.

Lake Bled Golf & Country Club in Lake Bled, Slovenia, boasts one of Slovenia’s oldest and most attractive Par 73 courses, which dates back to 1937 but was updated in the 70’s by Donald Harradine. There is also a 9 hole lake course.  Golfers can also take advantage of a further 7 courses within an hour’s drive of Lake Bled.
