BANGKOK, Thailand - Centara Hotels & Resorts has
launched a Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) program for its online sales, in which
anyone using the company’s own website to book hotel rooms is guaranteed the
best price available.
In the event that any other website offers the same
booking at a lower rate, Centara will match the lower rate and apply a further
10 percent discount to the final booking price.
A BRG logo will appear on all online bookings made
through www.centarahotelsresorts.com as a reminder to guests of the
availability of this service.

"We feel that while various websites might
offer advantageous rates, it is far better for the guest to be completely
confident that he or she can deal directly with Centara, be assured that the
best rates are being offered via the official website, and be certain to receive
exactly what is promised under the terms of booking," says Chris Bailey,
senior vice president for sales and marketing at Centara Hotels & Resorts.
"By providing this service, we protect our
guests against the possibility of inappropriate offers by unauthorized
parties."
The program stipulates that to be eligible for the
BRG terms, the competing rate on another website must be for the same hotel or
resort, at identical dates, same room category, same number of guests, in the
same currency, and must be available for booking on the internet and available
to the general public.
If such a rate is discovered, evidence in the form
of a full website address or screenshots must be submitted along with an online
claims form.
The application for rate adjustment and further 10
percent discount must be made within 24 hours of booking and at least before
arrival at the hotel. Claims are processed within 72 hours during normal
business hours, Monday to Friday.
