More than one million free hotel nights redeemed under a hotel booking company customer loyalty programme
Hotels.com has announced that it has rewarded its customers with more than one million free* nights under its Welcome Rewards customer loyalty programme.
Under the industry-leading programme, members earn a Welcome Rewards point for every night they spend in any participating hotel chain, boutique hotel or bed and breakfast booked through Hotels.com, earning a free night for every 10 stayed.
"A million nights is quite a landmark," said Nigel Pocklington, Chief Marketing Officer of the Hotels.com brand. "When we launched Welcome Rewards, we were determined to make it attractive, generous and easy-to-use for consumers. The fact that so many of our worldwide customers have reaped the rewards of their membership shows that we achieved our aim."
Members can redeem their free nights at more than 85,000 partner hotels, with no restrictions or blackout dates. The maximum value of the free night is the average daily rate of the 10 nights stayed. Credits do not expire as long as there is Welcome Rewards activity on their account at least once every 12 months. In certain countries, members who stay more than 10 nights in a year receive added service benefits.
Welcome Rewards was launched in the US and Latin America in 2008, in the UK, Canada and Australia in 2010 and extended to all other Hotels.com sites worldwide in 2011. For further information, terms and conditions are set out on http://www.hotels.com .
