Summer Activities for Children and Adults at Dubai International Art Centre
AL BARSHA, United Arab Emirates -- Summer is back and so is the fun at Dubai International Art Centre (DIAC) that’s buzzing with cool creative indoor activities. Coming up next month is an excitement-packed summer camp for children and skill-enhancing special classes for adults.
According to Ayesha Chen McKeever, Chairwoman, DIAC, the summer camp that will begin on Sunday, 23rd June, and run until the end of August, will offer different activities every day.
“We hope our varied programmes will help children to remain active and think innovatively. The activities are designed for different age groups and we take into consideration the fact that each child has a unique personality and interest”.
Among the activities at the DIAC Summer Camp 2013 will be Tie & Dye, Decoupage & Mixed Media, Jewellery Making, Clay Modeling, Beading, Glass painting, Drawing & Painting, Felt Toys and much more. The activities are available for two age groups i.e. 4-7 years and 8-12 years.
The timings for both the age groups will be 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm, Sunday to Wednesday. (Thursday & Friday closed.) The fee for participation will be: AED 140 per day, AED 500 per week and AED 1,920 per month.
The classes for adults would begin on Saturday, 15th June and are available during mornings and evenings. Among the various classes will be Drawing & Painting, Decoupage, Photography, Fashion, Terracotta Jewellery, Silk painting, Feng Shui and more.

From its inception, the DIAC has been one of the emirate’s most respected institutions, having served the arts community in Dubai since 1976, providing space to learn, practice and display a wide repertoire of art activity. It is located in Villa 27, Street 75B, off Jumeirah Road, behind Town Center.
