Norwegian Cruise Line Re-Ups as Helix Preferred Supplier

ARC announced today that Norwegian Cruise Line® has renewed its agreement as a Helix preferred supplier to keep supporting Helix member agencies in providing their clients with exceptional cruising experiences. Norwegian Cruise Line cited the increasing business from Helix members and the ability to personally interact with them at various events as key reasons for renewing its agreement.

“Over the past year, the Helix program has provided a wonderful chance for us to grow our revenue and get closer to the members who sell our various products,” said Gina Garrett, manager of consortia accounts at Norwegian Cruise Line. “Helix lets us interact with agents to help them see what Norwegian Cruise Line has to offer their clients to keep them happy and loyal. We look forward to another great year working with the Helix team.”
Helix is an exclusive members-only program for home-based and retail travel agencies. It offers a preferred supplier portfolio covering all segments of travel, multiple business services and the professional education and training opportunities to assist agencies in operating more efficiently and becoming more profitable. Helix currently features more than 30 preferred suppliers in its portfolio.
“We are so pleased that Norwegian Cruise Line has joined Helix for another year as a preferred supplier,” said Edyta Satchell, ARC director of product management. “Top tier suppliers such as Norwegian Cruise Line help Helix member agencies grow their business by allowing them to offer their clients premium vacation options. By remaining a Helix preferred supplier, Norwegian Cruise Line upholds its strong commitment and advocacy position of the agency channel. The Helix team looks forward to working closely with them to build upon the successful programs and events our members saw in 2012.”

Norwegian Cruise Line has a fleet of 11 ships devoted to “Freestyle Cruising” during voyages to Europe, Alaska, Caribbean, and Hawaii. With the addition of two new and innovative ships, the Breakaway (to start sailing on May 12) and the Getaway (coming February 2014), Norwegian Cruise Line will take" "Freestyle Cruising" to a new level and allow Helix members to capture new and repeat cruisers who are looking for a different cruise experience.
Information about the Helix program and its preferred suppliers will be available April 29-May 1 at ARC’s exhibit booth (#710) at the Home Based Travel Agent Forum in Las Vegas. Helix member agencies and those interested in joining Helix will be able to network with Norwegian Cruise Line representatives at ARC’s next Helix Symposium in Savannah, Ga., May 19-21.
